ANALYSIS OF TRANSPORTATION USERS OF RAILWAY TO VEHICLE PARKING IN THE PASAR TURI STATION SURABAYA

Abstract

This research is based on the phenomenon of parking problems that basically occur when the amount of parking needs is greater than the parking capacity available at the train station, especially the turi market station. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the capacity of 2 (two) and 4 (four) wheels at Pasar Turi Train Station in Surabaya and how to improve the existing parking performance.The method used in this study was a literature study,analysis of parking characteristics,parking needs,direcct survey of observation locations.In this study, the results of the parking patterns used From this study were obtained for the parking patterns used were 90O and 60O for cars while the motorcycle 0O (parallel). And obtained the accumulation of parking for motorbikes at most on weekends, more precisely on Sunday 338 vehicles as well as cars with 96 vehicles parked on Sundays. The time duration for cars is shorter, 3:32:26 while motorcycles are 4:45:36. For Parking Turnover on motorbikes 0.03518 Kend / Plot / Hour and for 0.0763333 Kend / plot / hour. For the parking index at maximal conditions, for motorcycle vehicles 65% and 77% cars show that parking performance can still accommodate vehicles.
